What are the knowledge pre-requisites to get the best out of this Wiki?

Working knowledge of your preferred operating system is surely required, to use the information available on this wiki-site. SafeSquid is largely popular with technicians who prefer the capability to exactly define the logic, as they please. SafeSquid's WebGUI allows you to "re-program" the functional logic, by creating entries that synthesize into your Internet Security, Content Control and Access Policy. This re-programming is achieved by creating entries in SafeSquid's various sections. This is also referred to as SafeSquid's configuration, and uses PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions) in most places. SafeSquid is an Application Layer Firewall (HTTP Firewall), therefore concepts of HTTP and HTML can help you tremendously if you wish to aggressively customize and tweak the user experience.
